Upton Community Care (UCC) is a charitable organisation providing transport to medical appointments for those with no other means to get there.
We offer this service primarily to elderly or infirm residents from Upton-Upon-Severn & the surrounding villages (eg Welland, Hanley, Ripple, Ryall etc).
Most of our trips are to hospitals & doctors but we can also help with visits to the dentist & opticians.
Most appointments tend to be in the local area but on rare occasions we are asked to take customers as far as Bristol & Birmingham.
Contact our office team, providing details of your appointment. If you are new to UCC, we will register you on our system. Our team will then find a suitable driver who can help with transport. We will then contact you to confirm the arrangements. At the date & time agreed, the driver will collect you from home, take you to your appointment, & then back home.
Please give us as much notice as you can, as finding a driver at very short notice might not be possible.
“Unfortunately, I can’t drive & have nobody else to take me to my doctor’s appointments, so the transport provided by Upton Community Care is invaluable”
Mrs B. Upton-Upon-Severn.
To speak with one of our team, call us Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 11.30am
Alternatively, leave a phone message and we will call you back.
Our email address is: uccoffice@uptoncommunitycare.co.uk
Upton Community Care is run completely by volunteers from the local community. We are often looking for more volunteers, especially drivers*, so if you have some time to spare & are interested in finding out more, please contact us.
*Drivers use their own car and receive per-mile reimbursement to cover fuel etc.
